“ Tasted all of them ”
This quintet offers a fascinating journey through Spanish terroir. The Arbequina impresses with its velvety texture and mild sweetness, while the Manzanilla builds an aromatic bridge. Hojiblanca and Frantoio convince as balanced all-rounders with grassy notes and fine piquancy. The highlight for bold pairings is the Picual: its intense pungency and striking bitterness balance harmonize perfectly with rustic aubergines. In the experiment with mint and garlic, the high textural density of the unfiltered oils is evident, gaining a complex, softer finish through the dash of Arbequina—an excellent example of successful aromatic layering.

I’ve been ordering Aceite de las Valdesas olive oils regularly and in fairly large quantities for home use, and the quality has been consistently excellent. The oils are fresh, well-balanced, and clearly superior to standard supermarket options. Delivery has always been reliable, and the different varieties are well described and true to character. Overall, very good value for high-quality olive oil — I’m happy to keep ordering.
